Global migration and regulations, high energy prices, climate change and technology are set to hugely impact and possibly reshape the entire Real Estate Ecosystem globally by 2020. With the markets continuing to be liquid, in 2018, the global real estate investment is set to touch US$650 Billion and the leasing volumes are projected to be close to 40 Million Square Metres.

The global stock of institutional-grade real estate will expand by more than 55% from US$29.0 Trillion in 2012, to US$45.3 Trillion in 2020. Global office vacancy rates that had dipped to 11.9% in 2017 end, will edge up towards 12.2% in 2018, with delivery of newer office expected at a quicker rate.
